Children Want Cheerful Parents
tantly, the older kids may know when the parents have trou-
bles and problems because they, too, can grow by it, yet you
should not let it overwhelm them. A sensitive child would not
be able to cope with it.
Examples: Broken sleep – lacking in concentration in school.
Certainly you cannot
spare your child every-
thing. Already in his early
years, he must gain expe-
riences of life himself but
the child will deal with
them undamaged if his
parents’ house provides
homely warmth and se-
curity and cheerfulness
for him.
The child must learn to
think positively – to have
trust in himself – to come
to grips with a problem. He must learn to be brave – to carry a
burden aware of the fact that he will learn from it, will mature
and grow by it. If a child does not know how to tackle the prob-
lems, they will become a burden to him. Therefore, never
abuse the confidence of your child or make something out to
be ridiculous, otherwise the child does not dare to unbosom
his heart. Teach the child that he may also always go to GOD
with all his cares – that he will receive strength, comfort and
clarity from Him.
