Violence



                                     Violence


          There are two different kinds of violence, the physical and
          mental one, and both are terrible – both are disastrous – both
          somehow destroy a person’s personality. That is why I think:
          Reflect on how you punish, whether in anger – unjustly – or
          simply because fair is fair. The child should still feel the love –
          very important! Violence kills feelings and the love. We know
          that only too well. Violence destroys families – destroys whole
          countries. We can hardly make up for it. If violence is the only
          way out to express ourselves, then I think it is no doubt the
          biggest alarm signal. „Hey, I am somebody, too – I am here as
          well.“ If attention is gained by force, the child (or the adult) will
          surely feel very misunderstood and emotionally isolated.
          Such alarm signals are absolutely to be taken seriously.

          Television, films, porn – even children’s films are full of porn –
          computer and online games, war games, thrillers and various
          kinds of music can teach violence. Of course, it also depends
          on the child’s character and personality traits and how easily
          influenced he is. – Little strokes fell great oaks. – The parents
          should see to it that their children do not watch television, surf
          the Internet and are in this way exposed to all the seductive
          skills of the media. Neither should the children be constantly
          occupied with their smartphones and tablets, which may lead
          to media addiction. Check well what your kids are doing,
          watching and listening to. By no means are all of the music,
          films or songs good and clean, but very often immoral and vio-
          lent. The immorality and violence in the songs are often im-
          possible to make out, especially for non-native speakers of
          English. The melody or the rhythm might perhaps be ap-
          pealing but the children are so much exposed to these lyrics
          and have no clue what is coming their way. And I mean, the
          evil spirit will also make use of it. It continuously works ithe
          child – in the young person. Such songs simply celebrate acts
