Patience and Love in the Familiy

Yes, mother – father, it means continuously being wrapped up
in the other person. – From where do you draw the strength
for it? – There is only one source that opens to you and never
dries up: the Sacraments! – At the same time, do not forget
this Sacrament in which father and mother are one. Here, too,
strength and grace are flowing night and day – be aware of
that.

„LORD,
from the Sacrament of the parents (Marriage)
allow the necessary strength, clarity and grace
to always flow towards me for my high calling
as a wife and mother, as a husband and father!“

Patience and Love in the Family

These two virtues are so often lacking in the families, perhaps
more unwittingly than wittingly. Certainly, we live in a very
frantic time and almost all are stressed out in some or other
way. Nevertheless, I believe that many things would be
simpler if everyone decided to be somewhat more silent – to
try to understand the other person better by actively listening
to him – to take a more careful approach to issues, etc. After
all, it is really so: Only patience and love can bring you any-
where, with the child or adult alike. Only patience and love will
win. They make daily living together bearable – peaceful and
provide the necessary homely warmth and security for the
children. Being able to listen patiently, to be silent with pa-
tience, so that love can just be proved true, so that this love
can be fruitful and beneficial. After all, it should achieve some-
thing in a human being, should it not? – warm the cockles of
the heart – make him excited for a cause – a good cause – for
GOD. That which is bought with love has been paid dearly
