Do Not Let Your Married Life Become Routine
so that both are bored to tears; do not allow the topics of conversation
to fizzle out, otherwise one has nothing left to say to the other. Soon you
will no longer find the words nor the courage to show your inner being.

If tensions or even quarrels have arisen, clear, if possible at once, at the
latest before going to sleep, all differences of opinion out of the way. If
you apologise first, you will not show a weakness. Do not say: „You
have to apologise, after all it was you who started or did not give in.“
No, put it right yourself – you, offer your hand as a sign of reconciliation
– you will not lose your face!

What Kills Love?

Mistrust and jealousy are gnawing at love, an argument is bound to
happen and will drive your partner into someone else’s arms. Con-
stantly nothing but accusations and criticism make your partner feel in-
secure and take away his courage for open talks.

Loveless – gross – obscene and humiliating insults cause the embers to
die – fairly quickly. It is like pouring water into the embers – in all direc-
tions it sizzles and spatters – gone is the glow. – Just try to kindle a fire in
wet ashes! – Here great efforts will be necessary to be able to forgive –
to be able to forget – to kindle new fire. Conversations are necessary,
good will and honest change. Possibly the love can be more profound
afterwards because both will have learnt from it. Conversation is so
necessary – you must speak and say what grieves or pleases you – mu-
tual praise will always uplift.

What Does Love Mean?

Love means sacrifices – means forgoing things – means abandonment,
no matter in what state – means forgetting yourself – means no longer
“I” but “you.” – So much must be put aside. With what rose-coloured
spectacles do many young people enter into marriage – without any
idea of true love!
