Do Not Let the TV Rob You of the Possibilities
Do Not Let the TV Rob You of the Possibilities
The television robs you of time and opportunity to have sensible talks.
Your partner or your child might be having a lot of problems on their
minds for weeks already that you could have gone into on a quiet eve-
ning or during a stroll. The longer you wait, the less courage the person
in question will have to talk about it. In this way, it might cause a hard-
ening of attitudes or bitterness, which otherwise could have been mutu-
ally expressed in a good, relaxed atmosphere.
It is also important that marriage and family are not exposed to every
fashion trend. All that glitters is not gold.
Parents of both should not jealously or in a dominating manner meddle
in your married life or the upbringing of your children; however, calm
advice is also not to be sniffed at. Mother and father have no right to
give preference to daughter or son, or even stir them up against the
other’s marriage partner, and by doing so drag the child into a great
conflict. How many marriages have broken up because of this.
